Swearing-in Ceremony of Customs Officer II Jerry Ebas

Koror, Palau – The Bureau of Customs and Border Protection (BCBP) held a swearing-in ceremony on August 7, 2026, welcoming Jerry Ebas as Customs Officer II.

Officer Ebas brings eight (8) years of border enforcement experience, having previously served as an Immigration Officer II within the Maritime and Compliance Section. Through the merger of Customs, Immigration, and Biosecurity, he has worked closely with Customs Officers and gained valuable experience in border clearance, compliance and enforcement operations.

His experience and familiarity with BCBP procedures will support his transition into his new role and responsibilities as a Customs Officer.

Officer Ebas was joined by his parents, wife and daughter, along with Bureau of Public Safety Director Curtis Elobt, BCBP Acting Director Joline S. Spesungel, BCBP Chiefs, Immigration Officers and colleagues.

BCBP congratulates and welcomes Customs Officer II Jerry Ebas and looks forward to his continued service, contribution, and support toward strengthening the Bureau’s border protection mission.
